With a history of over 3000 years of winemaking and a wide range of indigenous grape varieties (such as Assyrtiko,Aidani, Athiri, Mavrotragano, Mantilaria), it is no surprise that the wines of Santorini are highly celebrated.

Some wines that you should definitely try, but not be limited to, are the following:

• Assyrtiko, the popular dry white wine known for its texture and balance, certainly deservingof the praise and acclaim it receives.
• Vinsanto, a rich sweet wine that can be served as an aperitif.
• Nykteri, which ages and ferments in wooden barrels for months.
• Mavrotragano, a rich and aromatic red wine.

A friendly and welcoming atmosphere awaits visitors at the wineries where they will be provided with a wine expert (sommelier) that will guide them through their winetasting endeavors and give them insight into the ancient tradition of local wine.

All cruise passengers with individual programs are taken to the old Port of Fira, by tender boats. From the port, you will take the cable car up to Fira town.
The journey on a cable car takes 2-3 minutes. The tour should approximately starts 90 minutes after the scheduled arrival of the cruise ship.

The meeting point for the tour is at the cable car’s exit in Fira town. Your guide will wait for you there, holding a sign with your name.

Please include the name and arrival time of your ship, your full name and mobile phone number when booking the tour in order for your pick-up to be arranged.
